The NEWVEC operational research plan is aimed at closing knowledge gaps and testing evidence-based solutions for more effective control of ticks and mosquitoes in New England.

NEWVEC is creating a training network to meet the demands of training the next generation of public health entomologist. This entails degree programs at participating institutions as well professional training for field workers.

NEWVEC’s is launching an affiliate program PARCNEV -- Partners in Applied Research and Control of New England Vectors, to include state and local public health agencies, tribal organizations, Lyme disease groups, private pest control operators, and public and non-profit landowners who promote outdoor activities.
